OKarte package
It is a prepaid card enabling to use LMT services in amount of the prepaid sum and in the given terms.
If you want to start using OKarte, you need an OKarte package.
We offer 2 types of OKarte packages for various prices, different prepayment validity and usage periods.
SIM card – electronic device, which stores parameters of services accessible by OKarte and data for identification and authentication of the customers in GSM network.
The main parameters of OKarte SIM card:
- 16 Kb memory
- stores up to 250 entries in the telephone diary
- stores up to 15 short messages
- supply voltage: 3V
Your OKarte telephone number is indicated on OKarte package (see the label).
Recharge vouchers
OKarte recharge voucher is a voucher containing information for renewal of OKarte account.
Yes. On renewal of account, the price of the recharge voucher is added to the existing OKarte account balance.
PIN and PUK codes
PIN1 code – 4-8 digit security code that protects the customer’s SIM card against unauthorised use.
PUK1 code – 8-digit security code that shall be used to deblock the customer’s SIM card, which is blocked if a wrong PIN code is entered 3 times.
These codes will be used in the future with introduction of the new services in LMT network.
It is advisable not to use them at the moment, because SIM card can be blocked.
It is PIN1 code that is printed on the note with PIN and PUK codes of the OKarte package.
You will need the original PIN code to report on the theft or loss of the OKarte and to block the SIM card,
as well as to renew the number after the usage term has expired and to become a registered OKarte holder.
You can also ask your PIN code in any of LMT Customer Service Centres to make sure you are the holder of the OKarte.
Yes. OKarte PIN code shall be changed as instructed by the manufacture of the mobile telephone.
If you have entered a wrong PIN code for three times, the SIM card gets blocked. To deblock your SIM card, you have to follow
the instructions of the manufacturer of the telephone and enter the requested information that is provided on the note with
PIN and PUK codes, which is the reason why you have to keep this note.
OKarte benefits
Yes. You can send short messages during the credit validity period and receive messages during the whole usage period of your OKarte.
Yes. You can access the Internet with your OKarte, if your handset supports GPRS data transmission.
You can make calls to Lattelekom 800-series numbers, except those closed at their owners' will.
Yes. If you change from OKarte to post payment connection, your phone number is retained.
Yes. You can replace the SIM card at any LMT Customer Service Centre.
If you want to activate the lost OKarte, submit or send by fax an application at any LMT Customer Service Centre, and say your PIN code.
It is a customer, who has submitted a completed registration application with the LMT Customer Service Centre.
Usage of OKarte
This is a toll-free OKarte automated service system number. By calling 29202010 OKarte holder can find out the account
balance, the number of days till the credit validity period and usage term, to renew the account as well as change the language of the Voicemail.
LMT provides an automated answering system:
- Call toll-free OKarte service system number 29202010
- Press 1
- Listen to the announcement in your handset on account balance and number of days left till the end of credit validity period and usage term
- End your conversation
Second option – send a short message i to the service system number 29202010.
This is a monetary deposit on OKarte account, which is deposited by a customer upon purchasing OKarte or renewing the account by a recharge voucher.
Yes. In this case the respective amount of money will be added to the account balance of your OKarte account.
No, the prepayment is not redeemed.
- Call toll-free OKarte service system number 29202010.
- Change the language of the Voicemail, by following the instructions of the automated answering machine.
In accordance with LMT Servicing regulations LMT is entitled to resell the connection number 3 months after the usage term has expired.
Announcements on money
- Voice message in the selected language (Latvian, Russian or English) before first two outgoing calls,
when your OKarte account balance is less than 1 Ls
- 2 beeps for OKarte holder before each outgoing call, when your OKarte account balance is less than 0.50 Ls
- Announcement during the connection to both members of the conversation in all languages (Latvian, Russian and English),
if the OKarte account balance runs out during the call
- Voice announcement in the selected language (Latvian, Russian and English) to the OKarte holder before each outgoing call attempt,
if the OKarte account is empty already before the outgoing call attempt
- If the prepaid amount on your OKarte account is less than LVL 0.50, after the first call is made,
SMS sent or GPRS session you will receive an informative message asking to recharge your OKarte account.
Announcements on the terms
- Voice message in the selected language (Latvian, Russian or English) before each outgoing call, when there is less
than 3 days till the end of credit validity period
- Voice announcement in the selected language (Latvian, Russian and English) to the OKarte holder before each outgoing
call attempt, if the credit validity period has expired before the outgoing call attempt
- 24-28 hours before the end of the credit validity period an informative short message is sent, which contains
the date and time of the expiry of the OKarte usage term.
There is no announcement. The caller hears several beeps.
No, the number is pre-programmed in the SIM card.
OKarte terms
There are three types of OKarte terms: OKarte credit validity period, OKarte usage term and OKarte validity period.
It is a period of time, during which the customer is allowed to spend the prepayment for reception of LMT services as of the date the OKarte is activated.
It is a period of time, during which the customer may use OKarte to access LMT services.
As of the date the OKarte account is renewed, the usage term is formed by the credit validity period plus
the number of days indicated on the respective recharge voucher for reception of incoming calls and short messages.
If OKarte account is renewed in succession by recharge vouchers of higher nominal and lower nominal, the credit validity period and usage period of the higher recharge voucher are applied.
If you miss the end of the validity period, t.i. you have not renewed your OKarte account in this period, you shall
call LMT toll-free 24 hour informative phone 80000076 or apply personally in any of LMT Customer Service
Centres with a request to renew the number. You can apply within 6 months after the validity term has expired, no fees.
Note!
- You shall know the original PIN code!
- Deposit on the account shall be made within 3 days after renewal of the number.
- If you fail to re-activate OKarte within 6 months after expiry of the usage period, the number may be handed over to any other person, the unused prepayment is not repaid.
Terms are calculated with accuracy till second.
Registration
Registered OKarte users may enjoy various advantages.
- No original PIN 1 code is needed, when solving various issues calling LMT toll-free 24-hour informative phone and when receiving services at LMT Customer Service Centres (change of SIM card, when it is stolen or lost, Printout of calls made etc.).
Take your ID document (passport or driving licence) and SIM card of your OKarte, and go to any of LMT Customer Service Centres
to fill in an OKarte registration form.
Yes, you can and this service is subject to additional charge.
