OKarte friends
Set up your group of friends at manaokarte.lv and you will be able to talk to your
OKarte friends at especially good rates - call and text each other for 1 santim!
You can take part in OKarte friends both as the main number or as a member of the group.
Only OKarte users can become members of OKarte friends groups.
Setting up the group
A group of friends can be set up in two ways – either at manaokarte.lv or with the help of short messages.
A group of friends can be set up in two ways.
- Send an invitation to your friends from manaokarte.lv.
If you have already registered, use your existing password, if not – register as a user at manaokarte.lv and get a password.
- Send short message commands to the service code 1616. These short messages cost the same
as standard short messages. For more information on short message commands click HERE.
Please note!
Group of OKarte friends may contain only OKarte users.
A group of OKarte friends must consist of at least 3 members, the number of members must not exceed 20.
A group of friends can be set up, if the period of validity of OKarte prepayment has not expired.
Membership in a group
What to do, if you receive an invitation to become a member of OKarte group of friends?
If you receive a short message with an invitation, you should accept it within
3 days by returning the received short message to the service code.
If none of the invited friends approves his or her membership within 3 days, the group is not set up.
A group cannot be set up either, if only one friend approves his or her membership.
If the period of validity of your OKarte prepayment has expired, you cannot accept the invitation.
Please note!
After sending the invitation, places for all the invited members are reserved in the group.
Within the 3 days allotted for accepting the invitations it is impossible to delete the group,
the telephone numbers of its members or the main number.
The sending of new invitations is also limited – it is possible to send only as many invitations as there are free
places in the group (including those members, who have not yet accepted their membership). For example, if the main
number has sent invitations to 10 members, in the following 3 days you can invite only 9 friends.
If some invitations are not accepted, after 3 days you can invite new friends corresponding to the number of free places left in the group.
Main number
If you set up your own group, automatically you become its main number. It means that you are the group administrator
with several advantages not shared with other group members. You can:

- Include new members in the group
- Exclude members from the group
- Appoint another main number
- Delete the group
- Create and change the group name (only at manaokarte.lv)
- Enter and change the names of group members (only at manaokarte.lv)
You can administer the group at manaokarte.lv or with the help of short messages.
If the main number leaves the group or is excluded from it, all group members receive an informative short message.
From this moment on the group member, who is the first to send the received message back (within 1 day) becomes the new main number of the group.
Group member
If you are invited to join an OKarte group of friends and you have accepted the invitation, you become a group member.
You can perform several activities.
A member of OKarte group of friends can:
- View the list of group members; at manaokarte.lv you can also see the group name and names of group members
- View the main number of the group
- Leave the group
- Enter and change your name.
Leaving the group
Every OKarte holder can be a member only in one OKarte group of friends. But what should you do, if you no longer wish to be a member of the group?
Every OKarte holder can be a member only in one OKarte group of friends.
If you have set up the group yourself, but later you want to set up another group, you must delete
or leave the existing group. If you no longer want to take part in a group:
- Ask the main number to exclude you from the group
- Accept an invitation to join another group
- Send a message that you want to leave the group
Changes in the group setup
If a member leaves or is excluded from your OKarte group of friends, you will receive a short message about it.
It is possible that a member is excluded from the group:
- When transferring to a post-payment connection
- If less than 3 members are left in the group and the group is dissolved
- If the main number of the group excludes the member without his or her request
Please note! Short messages on the changes in the group setup are not delivered from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
