Mobile TV
OKarte enables you to watch live broadcasts and pre-recorded television broadcasts, as well as different video recordings
and other audio-visual information on your mobile phone.
You can use Mobile TV, if your handset supports multimedia streaming. Multimedia streaming principles are widely used on the Internet
and are adjusted to GSM/UMTS mobile communications networks. Main difference from multimedia downloading is that, when streaming
content, it is not saved, but played online on the user’s handset. Thus, by using multimedia streaming, you can watch and/or listen to
the chosen content straight away, without waiting for downloading and saving before playing.

channels constitutes an illegal activity.
Mobile TV offers
In LMT WAP Park under chapter Mobile TV you may watch live broadcasts of seven channels: LNT, TV5, LMK, LZK, First Baltic
channel, First Baltic Music channel and RenTV-Baltic, as well as most interesting TV news and entertainment programmes. In order
to watch live broadcasts, open LMT WAP Park http://wap.lmt.lv/ in WAP browser of your handset and select “Mobile TV”.
You can buy access to live broadcasts and pre-recorded television broadcasts of TV channels for a 24 hour period or a month. That’s really
easy – choose a TV channel or a broadcast, the type of data transmission you use (EDGE or 3G) and a subscription period, afterwards
confirm your payment. Streaming of the chosen channel will start as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Please note! Although, when subscribing, you have chosen only one channel or broadcast of the package,
during the subscription period you may access all channels and broadcasts of that package!
Mobile TV streaming tariffication principles
You shall pay for amount of data used during the streaming, depending on the type of Internet connection.
Watching Mobile TV, using an unlimited Internet for a fixed fee,
is especially advantageous. Mobile TV tariffs are applied from the time, when your handset starts playing the streamed content.
One minute of watching, using EDGE data transmission, takes approximately 0.6 MB, whereas, one minute of watching, using 3G data
transmission, takes approximately 1.1 MB.
How to activate
Mobile TV is available to all LMT subscribers, who are using data transmission and whose handsets support multimedia streaming.
In order to use the service, you shall perform configuration of your handset.
If your handset supports reception of configuration parameters by a short message (mostly Nokia and Sony Ericsson models, and latest
models of other manufacturers), you can get parameters of Mobile TV together with data transmission parameters at
manaokarte.lv, as well as by sending a message PG to service
system number 1688.
In case your mobile phone fails to support reception of parameters by a short message, you shall perform configuration manually.
Configuration process may significantly differ depending on the handset model, thus it is advisable to follow information provided in the
user’s manual of your handset manufacturer or at web page of the manufacturer. When performing configuration of your handset you
shall specify that a special GPRS access point internet.lmt.lv is used for streaming. Other parameters shall
be specified after default.
If configuration of Mobile TV on your mobile phone is performed correctly and a link to the streamed contents has been activated, a
multimedia player built-in the handset will automatically open, connect to the chosen multimedia stream and start to play the streamed
contents.
