You have a possibility to become an owner of the special e-mail address, which is as follows: xxxxxxx@sms.lmt.lv
(xxx - name allocated by LMT, however, you may choose it by yourself).
Read more about this address! If you have this address, e-mail messages may be sent to you from any computer,
as well as you may receive short messages from LMT home page and OKarte home page.
The message will be displayed on the handset as a short message, if only you have activated this possibility.
Besides, you can answer the incoming email using the handset function “Answer” without entering the recipient’s e-mail address.
Connection
Initially a possibility of e-mail reception is barred for each subscriber. To be able to receive messages from e-mail,
you shall send a request command to a SMS system number 29319915.
E+ - if you want to receive e-mail messages only.
WEB+ - if you want to receive messages from LMT home page and OKarte home page.
Send both request messages in order to receive short messages from e-mail as well as from home pages.
Limit of sending short messages
After activating the service you can initially receive 10 messages within 24 hours. At midnight the count is set back to zero,
besides, messages from E-mail and OKarte home page are counted separately.
You can change the number of messages received within 24 hours by sending a request command to the service code.
E SKAITS XX – in order to change number of incoming messages within 24-hour period.
WEB SKAITS XX – in order to change a number of messages from LMT and OKarte home pages within 24-hour period to SMS system number.
XX – - stands for a preferable number of messages from 1 to 20.
Before last incoming message you will receive an informative message that you are approaching the daily limit.
If by the end of the day you plan to receive more e-mail messages, you shall send a repeated message to SMS system number:
E+ – if you plan to receive e-mail messages only.
WEB+ – if you use receipt of messages from LMT and OKarte home pages only.
In case you have renewed possibility to receive messages, number of incoming messages will be counted from zero again and all the remaining parameters will remain the same.
If the limit of messages per 24 hours is reached, but you have not sent the command to renew the parameters, all messages sent to you will be deleted and will not be delivered.
If due to any reason the short messages may not be delivered to you (for example, you handset is switched off), however, a limit set for incoming messages is not reached, such messages will be stored for 5 hours. In case after that period it is still impossible to deliver the short messages, they are deleted without a prior notice.
Fragmentation of the messages
If the message exceeds a length set for one standard message, it is automatically split into fragments of
160 characters each, including a sender's name, e-mail address and subject of the message.
After default the number of fragments of the short message is 1. However you may increase number of fragments of the incoming e-mail messages, by sending a message
E SKAITS #Y (Y - digit from 1 to 3) to SMS system number.
Parameter shall be indicated only once and will remain the same till such parameter is changed.
Maximum number of fragments of the messages from e-mail is 3, so the longer message you may receive without shortening consists of 480 characters (3 x 160).
You may change number of messages and fragments simultaneously, by sending only one short message:
E SKAITS XX#Y (XX - number of messages, Y - number of fragments).
In case the message exceeds the length set for the fragment, you may receive the message according to the handset functions depending on the set parameters:
- if your handset supports the function "connected short messages", you will receive fragments of the message as a connected message and not separated fragments;
- if your handset does not support the function "connected short messages", the short messages will be automatically split into several fragments, each fragment being a separate short message.
Status
If you have forgotten the set parameters and number of e-mail messages you have received from e-mail or LMT and OKarte
home page within 24-hour period, send a message STATUSS to SMS system number. All this information will be specified in a reply message.
Refusal to receive messages
In order to refuse reception of messages, send a request message to SMS system number:
E- – if you refuse reception of e-mail messages
WEB- – if you refuse reception of messages from LMT and OKarte home pages
